Frequently asked questions
What are the most common questions you get asked about your dog walking services?
One of the most frequent questions is: what do we do on rainy days?
The rain does not bother us! We ensure that dogs are still exercised and have the opportunity to relieve themselves, even in bad weather. We also make sure to towel them dry before returning them home.
What should a new customer know before their first dog walk with you?
It’s important for new customers to ensure their dog has a suitable collar or harness with an ID tag registered to you, displaying the legally required details (Name, House Number, Postcode, and Phone Number). Also their vaccinations are up to date and the dog is fully insured with the relevant coverage. We also ask for details about their dog's behaviour and any specific needs they may have.
What's your policy on dogs walking off lead
As part of our assessment, we’ll discuss whether you’re happy for your dog to be walked off-lead. I will only ever allow this with your written consent and if you’re completely comfortable.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made within 48 hours or less of your booking will be charged in full.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance can be rescheduled to another date.
When completing your pet’s assessment form, you’ll also be provided with our Terms and Conditions. Please take a moment to read through them carefully — all we ask is that you sign them electronically alongside your assessment form.
What areas do you cover?
I cover BH23, BH24, BH25, SO41
Do I need to have an assessment day before I can book?
Yes — before we begin working with a new member, we provide a complimentary assessment meeting. This usually lasts around 30 minutes and takes place in the comfort of your home.
The meeting gives us a chance to get to know each other, answer any questions you may have, and most importantly, allow your pet(s) to meet us and feel comfortable before we begin their care.
What experience or qualifications do you have that make you a great dog walker?
I have experience working with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I am also trained in pet first aid and CPR, ensuring that I can handle any situation that may arise during a walk.
